So I didn't win the World Series of Poker.  I think that's due largely in part to the fact that I didn't compete in the World Series of Poker.  Dammit, I keep holding myself back. Gotta play to win, Dyan, gotta play to win.  I've heard that phrase a lot lately, and each time I hear it the phrase grates on me a little more.  Not only is the phrase painfully obvious, but they deliberately ignore the counter statements, "Gotta play to lose," and "Gotta not play to neither win nor lose."
